Hello all you Disney fans! I am so happy to be writing some blogs for Disneyways. I hope to be able to meet some of you in person at some of the Disney Parks Podcast meetups!
I want to introduce you to a unique and amazing product—Origami Owl! Origami Owl gives you another way to take your Disney story with you wherever you go. One idea is to create your favorite princess or movie theme with our many unique and beautiful charms. Below you will find photos of our Tinker Bell, Cinderella, Ariel and Pocahontas themed lockets!
We hope these will inspire you to create your own Disney story, but the sheer beauty of these lockets is the fact you can also change the charms to fit any occasion. Say you want to wear a locket one day as you volunteer at the school. Of course you want to tell the story about your kids an family in that locket… so you might have a wedding ring, birthstones for the children and a house charm with a heart full of love. That night you are heading to a Disneyways Meet and Greet and you change it up to reflect your perfect princess or character—maybe a princess crown, a snowflake, a snow globe and two shining crystals for Frozen. I’m SO excited to be able to work and blog with Disneyways. Please feel free to view all my products at on my website HERE or email me directly at Omylockets@gmail.com. You can also reach me by sending a text to 407-325-0719. I can help you build a locket that will remind you of your last Disney vacation so you can keep the magic with you, always. Bonus – these beautiful Oragami Owl lockets often inspire conversation. Who knows? When you share your Disney story with your Oragmi Owl locket, you may even meet a new friend who loves Disney as much as you do! I can’t wait to see your ideas and creations!!!

I am happy to announce that Steven Miller of the Disney Parks Blog informed us that the new “Where’s Mickey” pattern was release at the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney Marketplace on Tuesday, October 29th! I have seen photos on social networks of the bags in the stores already. No information yet on when the new pattern will be available to purchase on the Disney Store Online. It will be featured on several familiar and popular styles such as the hipster, backpack, large duffel, Smartphone wristlet and more. In addition to a future release at the World of Disney Store in Florida, the “Where’s Mickey?” color will also be available on Disney Parks online store and at select Disneyland Resort locations in the coming months.
Depending on what style you choose, most likely, measurements will be the same as the previous line . You can click either of the pictures below to see thosenumbers.
In other exciting news, you can visit DisneyStore.com/VeraBradley starting October 21, 2013, to get the “Just Mousing Around” and “Midnight With Mickey” colors online!
HOORAY!! Disney has announced a date for the big release of the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley. More great news: they are calling this the “initial” collection – which makes me think there will be more of these bags to come. Cathy Dawson, merchandiser for accessories at Disney Parks says, “We are thrilled to introduce Vera Bradley to our accessories assortment. In recent years, we’ve seen several guests in our parks and resorts sporting fun, colorful bags by Vera Bradley. Even our Disney Cruise Line team recently added some items by Vera Bradley to the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. We thought it would be wonderful to add a splash of Disney to these popular and colorful accessory items.”
Vera Bradley names all of her patterns and these are no exception. The black pattern is called “Midnight with Mickey,” while the pink pattern is named “Just Mousing Around.” These patterns will be seen on duffel bags, totes, cosmetic bags and more.
Guests in Florida, mark your calendars! Disney will be holding a special release party on Saturday, September 21, at the World of Disney in Downtown Disney Marketplace. The event will begin at 7:30 a.m., and will feature the first opportunity to purchase items from this new collection.
In California, guests can find these new items starting Monday, September 23, in select locations at the Disneyland Resort.
If you are unable to visit Disney Parks, no worries! Disney will be releasing the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley on the Disney Parks online store starting in October 2013.
Just as a refresher, what is Dapper Dayat Disney and where did it all begin? Organizer Justin Jorgensen is said to have been inspired by the original Imagineer Illustrations of Disney Park designs. These images often portray guests dressed as though they are going out for a very upscale event such as an opera or a maybe a high-end restaurant. Why shouldn’t going to Disney still be on par with such grand affairs? Well, that is what Dapper Dayis all about. It is a chance to realize those designer’s dreams. On Dapper Day, you bring those illustrations to life whenyoubecome those well dressed guests the designers imagined (or hoped) would be filling the park.
Started spring of 2011, Dapper Day organizes fashionable gatherings at The Disney Resorts in LA, Orlando, and Paris. February 24, 2013 was the date of the latestevent.
The coming celebration is expected to be an “evening affair.”
“DAPPER DAY Fall Soirée” Friday September 6, 2013 at Disneyland Resort, and Saturday September 21, 2013 at Walt Disney World Resort.
Here is video of the February event at Walt Disney World!
Dapper Day is NOT a Disney sponsored event. It is completely optional and perfectly OK to stay casual or not even participate at all.

Pumpkins, ghosts and other spooky spirits welcome guests on the Castle Stage at Sleeping Beauty Castle for “Mickey’s Halloween Treat in the Street!” Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dress up as vampires and Donald Duck is a “little devil” as they and their pals play a series of interactive games with Guests to share in the holiday fun. Disney Villains join the party in Fantasyland, where they mix and mingle with wary Guests at the Castle Courtyard. This video gets cool about 10-20 seconds in – so stay tuned!
Disney’s Halloween Party is must-see entertainment at Disneyland Paris, and Terrorific Night is scarier than ever at Walt Disney Studios Park. Disney Dreams! is a nightly show created to mark the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris. It features scary moments featuring Dr. Facilier (“The Princess and the Frog”), Ursula (“The Little Mermaid”), and Captain Hook (“Peter Pan”) ! Not to be outdone, Goofy has designed a special machine to make his favorite Halloween treat. This strange candy-making contraption can be found by following the puffs of smoke and sweet smells across Town Square.
