I was hearing rumors about Disney taking away ” The Magic, Memories, and You” which is my favorite show!
But here’s what I found out from Disney:
“Celebrate the Magic,” a new nightly projection show on Cinderella Castle, will debut at Magic Kingdom Park in mid-November. “Celebrate the Magic” will incorporate favorite elements from “The Magic, The Memories and You!” with all-new music, storytelling and special effects. “The Magic, The Memories and You!,” will be presented for the last time on Monday, September 3, 2012 at both Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland Park.
SO, to me, I think they are actually just improving my favorite show – not just taking it away.

Next to the show itself, I think my other favorite thing is watching all the people who have never seen it before. The reactions are so cool to see.
I hope this comes out the right way…. I love theme parks, but the one thing we must all remember is the only constant thing in life is change. Walt Disney said that “Disneyland will never be complete”. If they never changed anything then MMY would never have existed in the first place. I commend you for keeping an opening mind, and if this new show finds a special place in your heart, just remember that this too shall pass so savor it while you can.
Oh my goodness yes, I so agree. 9 times out of 10 when it comes to stuff like this – Disney does an awesome job, things are improved, and we end up appreciating the “magic” more then ever. Wouldn’t it be great if the worst thing in life we had to get genuinely upset over – was a change at Disney World? Thank you for your wonderful comment. I really appreciate you sharing your heart!
